The 1923 Welsh Women’s Peace Petition, coordinated by the Welsh League of Nations Union, was signed by 390,296 women in a call for America to join and lead the League of Nations, to prevent the outbreak of another war in the aftermath of World War One. For 2025, Corwen Museum are launching a special exhibition to commemorate this initiative and the story behind it, as well as the stories of some of the local women who signed the petition.
